If your heli is dropping dead, first ensure your battery connector is on solid. You should not be able to wiggle it lose. Outrage packs can cause this, pay attention. If the connection is solid, unplug either the tail motor, or main motor, one at a time. Plug in the battery, allow the gyro to stabilize.

The answer to your question is NO, a DX6 radio transmitter can not bind and/or control an MSR or a 120 SR. Beware, someone is trying to sell you an obsolete transmitter. It has been replaced with DX6i and operates on a different hand shaking system. That means receivers designed for the new DX6i can not talk to the old DX6.
